The well-known Golf Club of Havana, founded 55 years ago, maintains all the original splendour of its beautiful green course and the complementary facilities in an environment filled with natural attractions which satisfy even the most exigent visitors.
Located at Carretera de Vento, kilómetro 8, Capdevila, it is in the way from the international airport José Martí in southern Havana to the city downtown. The access way to arrive to the golf club is the Rancho Boyeros Avenue .
The nine-hole course provides the golfers with all the comfort that include: custody, club rental, caddy and cart service, and shops.
Its wide and undulated fairways adapt to all handicaps. Its greens, surrounded by bunkers, constitute uncompromising challenges for experts. The surrounding areas of the course are populated by slender palm trees and hundreds of big leafy trees.
Having a par 35, this golf course is the only one of its kind on the captivating island of Cuba .
The club offers services such as cafeterias and restaurants specialized on Cuban and international cuisine, as well as bowling tracks, billiard tables, electronic game consoles, a miscellaneous shop, and a beautiful swimming pool.
Among the associated facilities there are also five professional tennis courts and a Basque ball court. In all these sports, the interested visitors may request the advice of highly qualified trainers for rather low prices.
Every year, the Havana Golf Club hosts international golf competitions with open registrations. These are the Commonwealth Tournament (April), the Canada Cup (April), the Day of Africa (May), the Indonesian Holiday (August), Columbus Day (October), and the Christmas Tournament (December).
